Legacy Bids Farewell to Youth Director Dutt

Many of you may have heard by now that Eric Dutt (VLSC Youth Director) will be leaving our organization at the beginning of February.  Coach Eric Dutt was ready for a new challenge in his soccer career and will be moving to Richmond to join Chesterfield United FC as the Girls Program Technical Director.

Coach Dutt has been an incredible asset to the VLSC organization and has been a huge part of the Legacy’s growing successes over the past 3 years including this past summer as he coached the Senior NPSL team – Legacy 76.

Legacy will be forever grateful for his efforts as Eric is responsible for establishing the Legacy ADP program for boys and girls ages 6-10 who are looking for an advanced training program.  He was also instrumental in helping bring the Semi-Professional NPSL Franchise – Legacy 76 to Williamsburg (and coaching the team in its first year.) In addition to the many responsibilities as VLSC Youth Director, Coach Dutt also helped out frequently with the summer camp programs and the Legacy travel team programs.

The Virginia Legacy has hired a new Youth Director that will start on March 1, 2015.  More details will be coming out in the coming days.  In the meantime – the Winter ADP programs will continue to be run by the Community Soccer Director – Alex Spirn and other Legacy Staff Coaches.

Coach Dutt will begin his duties with Chesterfield United – Feb 1, 2015. “We are extremely grateful for what Eric Dutt has brought to this organization over the past 3 years.  He has grown the ADP program in numbers but also in quality.  His commitment to all aspects of the club were truly appreciated and he will be missed not only by the staff but by many of the parents and certainly all the kids he has been able to work with” – Bobby O’Brien: Technical Director.

Coach Dutt had this to say - “I would like to express my thanks and gratitude to the Virginia Legacy Soccer Club for giving me the opportunity to be a part of a club with so many wonderful players, coaches and parents.  These past three years have proved to be quite special and have provided me with great relationships and friendships that I hope will last a lifetime.  I am very proud of the culture that we have created and the positive environment that exists for player development.  I hope that Virginia Legacy will always be a special place where players come first.”

Again the Virginia Legacy wishes Eric the best of luck in his new ventures and we are extremely excited about introducing our new Youth Director to you in the coming days!!
