Williamsburg, VA - The VLSC is proud to announce its college night for 2013 will be held Friday December 6th at the Embassy Suites– in Williamsburg @6:30pm.  The night will last approximately 90 minutes. The Hotel is located at 3006 Mooretown Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23188

We hope to see all U15-U18 boys and girls that want to play soccer at the next level and are interested in hearing what that will entail as they move through their high school career.  These nights are always fairly similar but it cant hurt to hear the information again from a different source and to be refreshed on the college process.

In the past the presentation has been attended by guest college coaches and players (William and Mary, CNU, Va Wesleyan).  A variety of topics pertaining to college recruiting will be discussed and include self recruiting, letters to coaches, grades, the right fit, timelines and others.

New this year – Oliver Weiss – former collegiate coach for Virginia Tech, UNC (national champions) and William and Mary – and currently the Executive Director of the Club Champions League (CCL) will be a guest speaker at the event – providing his perspective on things as well

The night will consist of a presentation, handouts, college coaches perspective, players perspectives and there will be an opportunity for questions and answers. At the end of the night each player should have an idea of what is involved in the process and the steps and resources needed to have a successful journey.

Refreshments will be served prior to the presentation from 6:00 – 6:30pm.

In addition to College Night - the VLSC Staff is also willing to sit down for personal 1 on 1 meetings with players and families to go more in depth into the college process and provide insights, recommendations and help each step in the process.
