Three years ago CNU Mens Soccer and Head Coach - Steve Shaw started an event called "Juggle for Hunger". "We wanted to create a global awareness for our kids and be able to send our people all over the planet to help less fortunate kids "- said Coach Shaw. Coach Shaw (who also coaches U11 Legacy Boys) through his efforts has been able to take soccer balls and uniforms to Africa, China and Latin America. Last year, with the money that our Legacy Soccer Club helped to raise, Steve and his program were able to build a playground and gave 350 winter coats and pants to a poor mountain village elementary school in China. Coach Shaw will be making his 5th trip to China to teach kids again this summer.
This year the event returns - Juggle for Hunger 2015 is planned for Saturday April 11th, 2015. The event starts at 11am and will conclude with 2 college matches with the CNU Women taking on ODU and CNU Men taking on William and Mary. We hope that everyone will want to get behind this event and just help raise awareness. There are many ways to raise money for the event:
1) by getting donations for a juggling competition
2) sell raffle tickets for an I Phone 6!
3) Buy a ticket for the event for 10$ - includes admission to "soccer carnival" where there will be juggling, soccer tennis, 3v3 soccer, Dunk Tank and Bounce House. You will also gain admission to the CNU Men vs WM game at 3pm and the CNU Womens game at 5pm.
Additional tickets can be purchased to the college matches - Adults $5 and Children $2.
Food, Drinks and Event Apparel will also be for sale during the day at CNU Soccer Field
This is a great opportunity to help raise awareness and have a great day of soccer with your teammates, friends and family. Not to mention the local support for 4 area mens and womens soccer programs to learn and watch the game at a high level.
