This past week was a historic week for two former Legacy Youth / Legacy 76 NPSL players.
Jalon Brown and Alec Faulkner both recently signed professional contracts to play for Valentine FC in the Australian NPL (2nd Division). Jalon and Alec who have both been standouts at the club, high school and college levels will now look to continue this trend in the professional ranks. Jalon and Alec both played their youth careers at Virginia Legacy - as early as U10 . They also were All-District, All-Region and All-State standouts at their respective High School programs: Jalon (Grafton HS), Alec (Christchurch School).
After completion of their youth careers at Legacy both played collegiately for Christopher Newport University where they continued their success setting multiple school records and garnering All-Conference, All-Region and All-American honors during their 4 year careers. Each summer they continued to play for Legacy 76 in the NPSL (US 4th division) and were instrumental in the historic run of Legacy 76 to the Semi-Finals of the regional playoffs in 2016.
Valentine FCrecently interviewed both players at their opening day launch in front of the entire club and then this past week won its opening game 2-1 where both players started the match.
Congratulations Jalon and Alec – everyone is very proud of your accomplishments and wishes you both all the best in your new professional challenges.
