October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take the steps to have a plan to detect the disease in its early stages and encourage others to do the same. We have made a lot of progress but still have a long way to go and need your help!

In an effort to raise awareness, help with the fight and show our support in the fight against breast cancer - which affects so many people either directly or indirectly - All Virginia Legacy players will be given a new Grey/Pink warm-up shirt - to wear during team warm-ups at all games during the month of October.  We want all kids to wear these shirts instead of the training shirts while warming up for league and tournament games during October.

We also encourage ALL LEGACY teams to do more.  We prefer teams don't change the uniform configurations with pink socks - however we don't have an issue with pink wristbands, headbands, ribbons in hair or something else creative that doesn't affect the uniform (jersey, shorts, socks) so that teams still look similar while at their games.

Thank you for your participation in helping VLSC support Breast Cancer Awareness Month - this October.
