Virginia Legacy Announces Outdoor Winter League for 2008-2002 Players
Virginia Legacy is pleased to announce our Winter Outdoor league for our 2008-2002 Boys and Girls. During this time, we want to offer an outside option for all our 2008-2002 Legacy families during the off-season. We believe we can control the environment which we feel will allow the best competition and atmosphere to continue their outdoor training and development while we continue to navigate the COVID landscape this winter. All games will be played at Warhill Sports Complex on the turf fields and divisions will be based on gender, age, and competition level.

Cost: $40/Player
- 2 Long Sleeve Legacy Shirts (One light color, one dark color)
- 6 Games (2- 25 Minute halves)
- Referee per game
SEASON PLAY
Games begin the weekend of January 2ND and the season ends by February 20TH, 2021. Games will be played on Saturday Mornings (9am-12pm)
Teams will be scheduled to play 6 games.
There will be no games January 30th (CCL Showcase) or February 13th (President’s Day Tournament)

You will sign up as an individual and we will make the teams. Teammate requests are accepted but these requests are not guaranteed to keep the brackets competitive. We reserve the right to drop or combine divisions or age groups.
GUEST PLAYERS: There are no guest players allowed – unless approved by one of the directors. All participating players must be registered.
REFEREES/COACH: Each field will have 1 referee. In addition, Legacy Directors and Coaches we will be there to help ref and coach.
COMPETITION FORMAT & RULES
Official FIFA Rules and Regulations as stated under the Laws of The Game will be enforced.
HOUSE RULES

25 MINUTE HALVES, running clock.

NO TIME-OUTS.

GOALKEEPERS CANNOT PUNT OR DROP KICK THE BALL.
GAME BALLS
We will use a size 5 game ball.
EQUIPMENT
The wearing of shin guards will be mandatory for all players. We will send out a schedule ahead of time designating what shirt your team will wear.
POINT SYSTEM AND TIEBREAKERS
The determination within the group standings is as follows:
3 points for a win
1 point for a tie
0 points for a loss
