The Virginia Legacy would like to announce the hiring of Mary Morgan to the Full Time staff as the Girls Director of Coaching U6-U12. Mary’s primary focus will be to grow the love and passion for soccer in so many of the young girls in our Rec, ADP and Travel Programs. While her focus will be on the youngest girls – she will be involved in all aspects of the girls travel program through U19 as well.

We are making every effort to expand and grow our girls soccer program and think Mary will be the perfect role model and ambassador for all the young girls playing soccer in Williamsburg and all of the Peninsula” (Bobby O’Brien, Technical Director)
Mary brings a wealth of experience on and off the field as a player, coach and admin working for some of the top soccer clubs, universities and organizations in the United States. Below is a list of her accomplishments and background:
Playing Experience:
- University of Virginia Women’s Soccer
- 2 time National Final Four
- 1 ACC Tournament and 1 ACC Regular Season Championship
- US Youth Women’s National Team – Performance Analyst/Admin
- U15, U17, U18 Girls Teams
- 4 domestic / international training camps
- California, Florida, Switzerland, China - · Old Dominion University Women – Volunteer Asst. Coach
- US Soccer ‘C’ License
- Maury High - VHSL Conference and Regional Coach of the Year – 2017
- Beach FC, SOCA (Charlottesville) – Travel Team Coach
She has already been around some of the girls on recent club trips and tournaments and is excited for the spring season to start where you will see her on the training field getting the know the girls and coaches each week!
You can also mark your calendar for Sunday April 7th – where Mary alongside some guest female coaches/players and college players and Legacy Staff will be hosting an All Girls Soccer Clinic! More information will be released next week!
