The Williamsburg Pottery have joined Lumber Liquidators and Dr. Mike Potter as a major sponsor for the Virginia Legacy Soccer Club for the 2013/14 year. On behalf of the Virginia Legacy Soccer Club, Mr. Bobby O’Brien, Technical Director, accepted funds from the Williamsburg Pottery (www.williamsburgpottery.com) to support the club’s 2013/14 year. Mrs. Kimberly Maloney, President and owner of the Williamsburg Pottery, is enthusiastic about the Pottery’s support for the club. The sponsorship funds will be used to produce the team’s training shirts for the upcoming season impacting over 400 players.
Community and local athletics programs have always been cornerstones in the philanthropy of late Pottery founder, Jimmy Maloney. The founder’s widow, Kim Maloney, continues his legacy by supporting athletics and student programs every year.
Founded in 1976, the Virginia Legacy Soccer Club is a non-profit organization proudly serving the communities from Williamsburg to Newport News. The Virginia Legacy is a full-service soccer club that is home to recreational, developmental and travel soccer teams providing opportunities for youth soccer players of all ages and abilities. The staff, coaches and volunteers aim to pioneer, develop, and continuously be on the cutting edge of youth soccer in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
